WINDOW TO THE SEA is the second book by the author, three years after her first, SEASIDE THROUGH MY WINDOW. It is a history in photographs and stories with more of a focus on personal stories from people and their families. It will take you to Old Astoria, and over the Columbia River to some of the logging camps on the tip of Washington. It covers some of the Immigrants who came to Astoria in the 1800’s branching out into the county, and the Clatsop Indians, who have all but disappeared. It’s about those who shaped their lives in a corner of the world where the Columbia River and the Pacific Ocean meet. The Portlanders and their families of several generations who have been attached to the area, are very much a part of this new book.
